Day 2: Winchcombe to Chipping Campden (25.5 kms/16 miles)
The route takes you past the ruins of Hailes Abbey and on to the timeless beauty of Stanway and Stanton. Cross the lower slopes of the Cotswolds to the old coaching village of Broadway before the last climb to the Gothic folly of Broadway Tower and a gentle descent into Chipping Campden, perhaps the finest of Cotswold wool towns.
Day 3: Chipping Campden to Stow-on-the-Wold (24 kms/15 miles)
Walk through Broad Campden to Blockley and thence via Batsford with its arboretum and falconry to Moreton-in-Marsh, straddling the Roman Fosse Way. Make a short diversion to see the Moghul architecture of Sezincote and then on through Longborough and Broadwell to Stow-on-the-Wold, with its fine square and antique shops.
Day 4: Stow-on-the-Wold to Winchcombe (22.5 kms/14 miles)
Down to Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter and across the wolds to the perfect villages of Naunton and Guiting Power. Through woods and fields before the descent close to Sudeley Castle to return to Winchcombe.
Day 5: Departure after breakfast
REMEMBER - many of our walks can be shortened by using either public transport or taxis. We can also adapt these routes to suit the time you have available and your walking capabilities.
