Local expertise and support

Living and working in the Cotswolds is an essential part of what makes Cotswold Walks different from our competitors. We are out walking everyday with our dog Indie and know the area almost as well as she does. Our detailed walking notes and maps are regularly updated and improved each year. If a problem arises during your tour we are on-hand to help resolve it quickly and efficiently. We have first-hand knowledge of the area and so are able to answer any questions whenever they occur. Our out of office contact number is not only for emergencies should they arise, but also for those last minute questions and mid-tour adjustments that help to give you a stress free holiday.

Outstanding customer service

We are passionate about what we do and although only a small company we concentrate on what we know best; The Cotswolds. We strive to offer the kind of service we would like to receive and we have exacting standards. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly personalised service and are happy to call you to discuss how to plan your perfect vacation.

We understand what makes for ideal walking; spectacular scenery, excellent accommodation, reliable luggage transfers and lots of local knowledge, all backed up by outstanding customer service and attention to detail. A great number of our bookings come from word of mouth recommendations, why not read what some of our clients say on our testimonial page.

Financial security

You have peace of mind, safe in the knowledge that any payments you make to us are completely protected. In accordance with The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992, all customers booking with Cotswold Walking Holidays Ltd are securely held in a third party client account and the money untouched until after the tour has finished.

Handpicked quality accommodation

We know and deal with all the accommodation providers in person and consider them friends rather than just business partners. We visit each one and only select those that will enhance our company’s reputation as we realise the importance of good accommodation to the enjoyment of your holiday.

Cotswold Walks Route Notes

Detailed and up to date route notes

This really should be at the top of the list because it is one of the key components of any walking tour and yet it is one of the last details that is revealed. We use the latest digital mapping and think it makes most sense to have the text and the maps on the same page rather than as separate documents. We are happy to supply a sample of our maps and would ask you to compare them to any other tour operator if you are undecided.

The detailed route notes and maps have been combined into a handy A5 size booklet and will be posted out to you as soon as your deposit is paid. Some tour companies will charge extra for this or leave them at the first night's accommodation which defeats the purpose of planning well in advance and familiarising yourself with the adventure ahead. Unlike our competitors, especially those that operate outside of the area, we re-walk the routes every few months to ensure we have the most up to date information for our clients. We mark out the mileage so you know exactly how far you have to go and provide photos for any locations that might cause confusion. We also provide history notes on the area, easy to follow village maps to your accommodation and recommendations on pubs and restaurants for your evening meal.
