Announcing Our Photo & Video Competition Winners
We were truly overwhelmed by the response to our photo and video competition. We received so many beautiful images, wonderful videos, and heartfelt stories about the special memories created along the way. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate and share your experiences with us; it was a joy to relive your journeys through your eyes.
After much deliberation, we’re delighted to announce our winners:
1st Place – Pam Elliott
Pam took our 8-night Best of the Cotswolds tour and shared this stunning photo along with a story that perfectly captures the spirit of walking holidays and shared adventure:
“Myself and my 4 companions hiked the 7 day/8 nights self-guided Cotswold Walk from Chipping Campden in September of 2024. It was the best vacation of my life — hiking in cool temps, across gorgeous country with small day packs and no worries to carry. Some of us were from Canada and the rest from Minnesota in the United States. Each morning we would find a small bakery or deli to buy sandwiches or baked goods for lunch. Our hikes took us over the hills and through pastures with sheep and cattle, even a lone bull! I loved using the GPS to find our way — rather like a real-life video game! The 5 of us bonded and have planned many more walking vacations since this one, though our first was the highlight vacation of many years. The freedom and ease of a self-guided hike made this a wonderful low-stress break from our hectic lives!”
Why we chose it:
A breathtaking viewpoint paired with a heartfelt story of friendship, discovery, and the joy of self-guided walking; perfectly capturing what makes a Cotswolds journey so special.
2nd Place – Susan Zimmerman
Susan and Josh were travelling on a 6-night Cotswold walking tour when they captured this timeless image.
“We had a fabulous time on our Cotswold 6 night walking tour. So much history, thinking of all those who have walked before us.”
Why we chose it:
A timeless image in an iconic village that beautifully reflects the sense of history, continuity, and quiet wonder felt by so many who walk the Cotswolds.

3rd Place – Kirt Freeland
Kirt and his sister joined us on an 11-night Cotswold Way tour, and their video says it all:
"This is our trip in a nutshell — we loved every minute and couldn’t stop laughing."
Why we chose it:
A joyful, candid snapshot of life on the trail, full of laughter, connection, and those unscripted moments that make walking holidays unforgettable.
Special Mention – Michael Sukop
Mike and Katie walked our Cotswold Triangle tour in July 2025 and captured this truly magical moment on their night in Chipping Campden.
“This photo is from our room at the Noel Arms in Chipping Campden on our first night in the Cotswolds. Naturally, we have many great photos from our glorious Cotswold Triangle Walk, but this dark sky Big Dipper with a hint of Northern Lights and the walls and chimneys of Chipping Campden is special to us.”
Why we chose it:
A rare night sky, a historic village, and the start of an unforgettable walking holiday...a perfect reminder that some of the most special moments happen when you least expect them! Thank you for sharing this with us, Mike and Katie!

Special Mention – Suzanne Shoop
Suzanne joined us on our Cotswold Way 11-night tour in September 2025 and captured this peaceful woodland moment along the trail.
“There was so much beautiful scenery along the hike with the majority being in vast open fields. It was very calming to be walking amongst the trees and to see the sun hitting as it was — it was perfect!”
Why we chose it:
A serene woodland scene that captures the quieter, more contemplative side of the Cotswolds; a moment of calm and connection with nature that many walkers treasure.

Once again, thank you to everyone who entered. Your photos, videos, and stories beautifully reflect the joy, connection, and sense of discovery that make walking in the Cotswolds so special.
